Okay people- I'm gonna start with a bang here and cut right to the chase; I'm disgusted that the conservative party has reverted to infantile strategies in a feeble attempt to regain a sliver of political control. Whether we want to address that sloppy, hypocritical mouthpiece that is Rush Limbaugh, or the more (if it's possible) vociferously obnoxious town hall meeting participants, the far right has resorted to making a lot of noise rather than making a lot of sense. People have been painting Swastikas on public buildings for christ sakes, yet fox news compares Democrats to Nazis???
It amazes me to no end that this group of people is so adamantly against health care reform; touting claims of the Dems' goal of "Socialist Healthcare". It is utterly obvious that this poorly informed citizenry has not sat down to do their homework. I will not repeat what has been explained at infinitum on every other website around, particularly because these are not people who operate with reason and logic; these are people that "shoot from the hip" and follow their gut. They don't let messy things like "facts" get in their way. And when their mind is made up, oh boy... A man actually showed up at an Obama speech yesterday toting a semi-automatic weapon. Obviously this hillbilly did not intend on killing the president, but rather to send a message. The message? Don't fuck with our broken system, Mr. Black President. We likes it just the way it does...
My hope for healthcare reform? Legalize euthanasia. Clearly people this profoundly obtuse are living a painful existence and need to be set free. Maybe I should become a doctor....
